Physical Therapy in Nashville

Steve Kravitz Physical Therapy in Nashville, TN provides a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare in order to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. Our individual treatments are 100% focused on working through your pain or mobility issues for the entire appointment time. Treatments are uniquely tailored to your specific needs and will primarily be hands-on manual therapy provided by a highly trained doctor of physical therapy in a private, quiet setting.

About Our Practice

Our practice of Physical Therapy aims to break the all too common cookie-cutter model of physical therapy care in this country in which patients are often treated with simple yet ineffective methods, and given very similar protocols of treatment for conditions that vary greatly. You may have experienced this at a traditional physical therapy practice: a physical therapy assistant will administer a hot or cold pack, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation for more than half of the time of your scheduled appointment; when the treatment with the physical therapist begins, it may involve 5-10 minutes of basic stretching or manual work and then will incorporate simple exercises that may or may not help with your symptoms.

This style of physical therapy is usually scheduled 2-3X’s per week and can be very time consuming in your busy schedule. So, in the end, you may feel like you were spending a lot of time and energy trying to get better but the progress is possibly really slow or may not be helping at all.

About Our Model

Our model of Physical Therapy care has been developed based on a keen knowledge of cutting edge manual therapies combined with evidence based physical therapy practices, to ensure the highest quality service and individual care for our patients.  A physical therapy treatment at our practice may incorporate a blend of any of the following modalities:  CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release & Trigger Point Therapy, Nerve Mobilization, Visceral Manipulation, Orthopedic Manual Therapy, and Lymphatic Drainage.  We treat individuals (of all ages) throughout life, who at times may be experiencing pain, mild or severe illnesses, injuries, or conditions that limit their ability to function happily in their daily life.

We provide hands-on therapy services to maximize mobility, develop or restore function, alleviate pain, and promote overall health and wellness.  We feel strongly that treatment doesn’t have to be painful and that our patients should find our treatments to be both relaxing and effective at treating your condition.

What Makes Our Physical Therapy Practices Unique?

While traditional Physical therapy rehab is an effective treatment of many conditions—what makes our form of Physical Therapy unique—is that we treat you in a way that is gentle, relaxing, and can provide the same benefits of traditional rehab. We use our hands to treat providing our patients gentle-hands on approach without the use of an ice pack or machine. A majority of our clients fall asleep during the session and tell us they feel a deep sense of relaxation as well as a lasting therapeutic benefit from the work.

Generally, we treat patients on a weekly or bi-monthly basis at first since the body needs time to adjust to the changes made and time for the tissue to heal. Once you are feeling better, most clients simply check in when there are issues down the road and we treat each condition with the same approach.
