About Steve Kravitz
Steve Kravitz is a doctor of physical therapy, certified in craniosacral therapy and myofascial release, and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. He uses a combined approach of physical therapy and advanced manual therapies drawn from the osteopathic philosophy. Steve has been in private practice since 1998 and has advanced certifications in over 10 therapeutic disciplines including trainings in: CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release & Trigger Point Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Nerve Mobilization, Lymphatic Drainage, and Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
Steve has completed extensive training from pioneers in the field of manual therapy such as: Dr. John Upledger, D.O. O.M.M. (CranioSacral Therapy), Jean-Pierre Barral, D.O. (Visceral Manipulation & Nerve Mobilization), Dr. Bruno Chikly, M.D., D.O., L.M.T. (Lymphatic Drainage), and Dr. Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo, Ph.D, P.T., I.M.T.C. (IMT – Integrative Manual Therapy).
Additionally, Steve is a lab assistant at the Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, and Somato Emotional Release, as well as a lab assistant at the Barral Institute for Visceral Manipulation (Abdomen I, Abdomen II, Pelvis, and Thorax) and Nerve Mobilization (NMI, NM II, NM III, NM IV).
As a physical therapist, Steve has had experience in a range of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home health care, treating patients following: trauma, surgery, sports injuries, pain syndromes, and occupational and repetitive strain injuries.
Mostly, Steve is passionate about helping people and feels very lucky to have found a way to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives. Steve enjoys his work immensely and puts his heart and soul into each and every treatment.
